MRS. D’S DIXIE BARBECUE SAUCE & MARINADE FOR CHICKEN

Mrs. D. was from one of the Carolinas, I can’t remember which one, but she passed away many years ago. Every time I make this, I think of her and the fun neighborhood barbecues.

½ cup oil
1 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 egg

Put everything in a blender and let it mix. Cover chicken with it. Use remaining for basting on the barbecue. If there’s not enough, make another batch!
